I will begin this blog post with a quote from my favorite author, and then I will tell you what I have been up to for the past two weeks:
October was a beautiful month at Green Gables, when the birches in the hollow turned as golden as sunshine and the maples behind the orchard were royal crimson and the wild cherry trees along the lane put on the loveliest shades of dark red and bronzy green, while the fields sunned themselves in the aftermaths. Anne reveled in the world of color about her…. “I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers. It would be terrible if we just skipped from September to November, wouldn’t it?…” ~Lucy Maud Montgomery
October 4th was the most perfect day! There was a chill to the air, and the sun shone on my nephew and his lovely bride Katelyn, as they raised their glasses in toast to their new life together. I was not shooting this day, but drinking in the deliciousness of being a guest at my nephew’s wedding! Congratulations Justin and Katie!
I have posted some pictures of a Pumpkin Patch session with precious, little Carsyn. I have had an amazing adventure with two little fairies! I have also enjoyed a Senior Photo shoot.
October is such a perfect month for outdoor photography. It gets darker a little earlier, so I don’t have to wait so long for “Golden hour”. There are gorgeous yellow and purple wild flowers in full bloom everywhere. The leaves are starting to turn, and cool fronts are starting to come down. We need them!
I want to end by saying, “Thank You,” to my clients. I appreciate you embracing me as you have. I have been treated like family by each and every one of you.
I am honored, and I am blessed!
